100 Horror Adventure Seeds is the next installment in the successful Adventure Seeds series from Postmortem Studios.

100 Horror Adventure Seeds presents 100 game session ideas, one to a page, with three twists, an epilogue and some ideas to help you make that session a better game.

Far more useful than a traditional roleplaying module, 100 Horror Adventure Seeds can spark your imagination and get you past 'Gm's Block' so you can get on with a good evening's gaming.

  • System - 100 Horror Adventure Seeds is completely systemless but is geared towards modern horror tropes and ideas of the type found in current film and literature..
  • Presentation - 100 Horror Adventure Seeds uses sparse graphical elements and a page border image but the text is left clean and clear and easy to read.
  • Keynotes - 100 Horror Adventure Seeds takes the concept of 'seeds' found in a great many other game supplements and setting books and takes it up a step. Rather than the one line or one paragraph that you usually get 100 Horror Adventure Seeds devotes a whole page to each idea, developing it, offering alternatives and plot twists and then giving an idea on how the adventure might progress. Some seeds also come with story and game enhancing ideas in addition to the normal information.
  • Design Notes - Adventure supplements are a difficult thing. Lots of people say they want them but hardly anyone buys them. People need game support, they need to see how the author believes that the game should be played but an adventure released may not be suitable to the players or the characters of the home game. One thing I always have found successful has been the 'seed' ideas. Scattered plothooks and ideas scattered throughout a book of setting or background material. I hardly ever use the standard 'modules' in my gaming, so I set out to write something I wanted and that I would use.

There is a tremendous amount of material here, covering a wide range of horror movie plots without referring to any movie in particular. It is all generic and very usable in any campaign. While some seeds are inherently set in the modern day, a few changes can adapt them for any setting.

Not only does the book offer useful condensations of adventures, but it leads the reader to find inspiration in other media.

Picked up this book in hopes of finding some good ideas to fill in sessions between major storylines in my horror campaigns. Well it's done more than that. A lot of this is easily built into major storyline themselves

This product was my first ever purchase of a PDF. Its strengths are that it is generic enough that I can use it for more than one game or system - World of Darkness, Cthulhu or even Shadowrun. And it was at a very favourable price.

A very good source. Although it's listed as 100 adventure seeds, many of these contain several options and ideas, so you're really getting lots more adventure ideas. The range is sufficiently diverse that it should be possible to find at least some stuff that will work with any setting.
