The orcs, goblins and bugbears of the land have a just reputation as ravagers, destroyers. Mindless barbarian forces intent on nothing more than rape, burn and pillage. They breed fast, live for war – even amongst themselves – and exist in a brutal hierarchy of strength, bowing their heads only to those breeds and powers that prove stronger and more ruthless than they are.

The goblinoids represent chaos and animal instinct, they exist at the fringes of the civilised world in the wild places and in the caverns underground, they inhabit ruins and the dark areas of the map. They are fear of the savage and dangerous side of nature they are beasts that walk like men and use their own tools against them.

  • System - Army of the Goblinoids is designed for use with OGL games as an NPC resource but primarily for Feast of Crows as an army list and assistance book. You will more than likely find yourself rolling a D20 when you use it. Army of the Goblinoids contains extensive army lists for goblinoid armies and their allies.
  • Presentation - Army of the Goblinoids makes limited use of art in order to remain easily printed and referenced.
  • Keynotes - Army of the Goblinoids lends body and thought to the role and tactics of Goblinoid armies in the fantasy genre. Even though it is primarily designed with Feast of Crows in mind it, it could find use in a wider context.
  • Design Notes - In coming up with ideas for the role of armies in fantasy warfare many people think only thematically, they do not think of the wider warfare implications of warbeasts, magic, healing spells and so on. I tried to cover as many angles as possible, placing the army within the context of the games and genre.
